About two decades have passed since the debut of the Spring Drive Caliber 9R65. This year marks the unveiling of the new Caliber 9RB2. Developed in pursuit of even greater precision, it receives the new U.F.A. designation (standing for “Ultra Fine Accuracy”) and achieves an astounding annual rate of ±20 seconds, equivalent to an average of ±3 seconds per month―making it the most accurate wristwatch movement powered by a mainspring today.
This model is the very first to be equipped with the new movement and bears the inscription “SPRING DRIVE UFA” at the six o’clock position. The shimmering, pearlescent dial features a new pressed pattern inspired by the frost-covered trees seen in the harsh winters of Japan’s Shinshu region.
Ever since its first watch in 1960, Grand Seiko has relentlessly pursued innovation, proudly representing an extraordinary level of precision and continual evolution.
